The University of New Haven opened its first international satellite campus in Prato, Italy in the fall of 2012. The historic city of Prato offers UNH students an authentic Italian cultural experience. Prato, the second largest city in the region, is just 20 minutes from Florence and one hour from Pisa by train.
While experiencing life abroad, students will have the opportunity to enroll in five classes taught by both UNH and Italian faculty. All UNH tuition and fees remain the same as if students were attending our main campus in West Haven, Connecticut – the only difference in price is the cost of airfare!
The Prato Centre provides Monash University with a strategic European base for education and research collaborations. Since its establishment in 2001, thousands of Monash students and researchers have benefited from the Centre’s strong links throughout Europe.
The Centre is the site for innovative teaching programs for the Faculties of Art, Design and Architecture, Arts, Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Information Technology, and Law.
A vibrant community engagement program ensures that the Centre is embedded in its local context and that visiting staff and students have the opportunity to develop their understanding of contemporary Italian and European culture.
